    "notes": "This is the most recent edition. AAMC's survey page lists 2025, 2024 and 2023 reports, and the 2026 edition is usually released in mid-November. 2025 was a short-form year, so it has stipends only. Benefits data are in the 2024 long-form report. The 2025 report covers 350 institutions and 114,361 residents and fellows, about 70.3% coverage by AAMC's estimate. Unweighted means count each institution equally. Weighted means are weighted by resident headcount, and AAMC publishes them only as means, with no median. Starting in 2025, Puerto Rico institutions are included in the Southern region as well as nationally. Figures are nominal annual stipends in US dollars. The report also covers PGY-7 and PGY-8, which are left out here.",
