    Co-brand license

    A paid license puts your name in the widget footer. It is a permission and a naming line — not a product, not a dashboard, not a content license.

    What a co-brand license is

    A co-brand license grants the right to embed Andwise widgets and figures on an institution's own pages, with the institution's name rendered in the widget footer. The tools stay exactly as published: same text, same data, same claims, and the same free access for everyone else.

    What it includes

    The right to embed /embed/noncompete, /embed/loans-worth and the figures under /figures on the licensee's own pages for one year. The name — "Distributed by {name}" — in the widget footer, read from the ?via= URL parameter. A signed copy of these terms.

    Price

    $500 per residency program per year, or $1,500 per sponsoring institution per year, invoiced annually. The price covers the permission and the naming line. There is no usage reporting to sell, because the widgets collect nothing.

    What the licensee may not do

    Modify the tools' text, data or claims, or host modified copies. Resell the license or charge others to embed. Remove the Andwise attribution, the CC BY 4.0 line, or the "Information, not advice" line from the footer. Present the tools as contract review, legal review or legal advice. Add sponsor, lender or employer framing around an embed.

    Term and voiding

    One year from signature. The license voids automatically if the licensee changes the tools' text or adds sponsor framing. The free, unbranded widgets remain available regardless — the license buys a name, not exclusive access.

    What Andwise provides and does not

    Andwise keeps the widgets, figures and cited data current per its editorial policy, with attribution built into the footer. The data shown is published under CC BY 4.0, each entry carrying its source and the date it was last checked; the citation form is at www.joinandwise.com/data. Andwise provides no usage reports: the widgets collect nothing, so there is nothing to report; a licensee counts page views on the pages it hosts. Andwise builds no custom copies, private URLs or dashboards.

    Why the name reads "Distributed by"

    The name must not read as an endorsement in either direction. "Distributed by" states that the institution shares the tool, without implying it authored or vouches for the legal content. Neither side may add claims the tools cannot substantiate.
