Open data
The data behind the tools, as files you can download, cite and reuse. Every entry carries its source and the date it was checked.
8 datasets · 264 records · newest check October 21, 2026 · licensed CC BY 4.0
These files are the same data the reference pages and calculators read. They are published so that a journalist, a law clinic, a residency program or a specialty society can check a claim, build on it, or cite it without scraping the site.
Datasets
US physician non-compete law by state

51 jurisdictions · checked October 21, 2026 · JSON · CSV
General information, not legal advice. Every entry carries its citations and check date; an entry that cannot be re-verified is removed rather than left stale.

Andwise forecasts with resolution criteria
Dated, falsifiable forecasts about physician pay, loans and contract law, each with a probability, a resolution date and the rule that decides it.
17 forecasts · checked October 21, 2026 · JSON · CSV

How to cite
Carry the dataset name, the check date and a link. Attribution to Andwise satisfies the license; the date is what lets a reader tell whether the figure is still current.
Andwise, "US physician non-compete law by state" (2026-10-21). https://www.joinandwise.com/contracts/noncompeteEach JSON file repeats the citation, the license and the check date in its header, so a copy carries its own provenance.
For computed answers, the read-only MCP server at mcp.joinandwise.com exposes the same datasets and models as tools. It stores nothing.
What is not included
- Licensed compensation benchmarks. MGMA, SullivanCotter and similar surveys sell their data. Andwise links to them rather than reproducing them, and these files contain none of their figures.
- Anything personal. The site has no accounts and the tools run in your browser. There is no user data to publish, and the datasets contain none.
- Legal conclusions. The files describe what a statute or rule says. They do not say whether a clause is enforceable or which plan someone should choose.
How it stays current
State non-compete law is re-checked monthly from January through July and quarterly otherwise. Federal loan rules are re-checked within a week of an Education Department announcement or a court ruling, and at each scheduled change date. A date changes only when the entry was re-checked. Changes are logged on the change log, and the method is in the editorial policy.
If a figure here is wrong, send the correction with a source. Errors are fixed and the check date moves with the fix; an entry that cannot be re-verified is removed rather than left stale.
