    For programs

A free reference for physicians on contracts, loans and residency. Here is what a program gets by linking it, the three answers a compliance reviewer will ask, and a one-page brief to forward.

What a program gets by linking the site

The tools are free and run in the browser: a contract checker that opens a PDF on the trainee's device, loan and offer comparisons, and state-by-state references for non-competes and residency rules. There is nothing to install, subscribe to, or pay for.

    • The 8 open datasets, each entry carrying its source and the date it was last checked, as JSON and CSV — so a program, law clinic or society can verify a claim or reuse it. Open data.
    • Ready-to-embed charts, each carrying its own title, source line and check date, so a copy stays honest after it leaves the page. Charts.
    • llms.txt and a read-only MCP server for agents, which store nothing and accept no uploads. MCP server.
    • Weekly source-watch maintenance: every cited source is fetched weekly and compared with the text last acknowledged by a person; nothing edits the data automatically. How we check our information.

What leaves a trainee's device? Nothing.

The tools run in the browser. The contract checker parses the PDF locally with pdfjs-dist; the page has no code that transmits the file or its text, and closing the tab discards it. The site has no accounts, no uploads and no server-side storage, so there is nothing to receive it.

The Content-Security-Policy restricts network requests to this origin (connect-src 'self', enforced at build time in scripts/write-headers.ts), so the browser itself blocks any attempt to send data elsewhere. A few inputs can be remembered in the device's local storage and are never sent. Privacy.

What is sold to the trainee? Nothing.

Every tool is free and stays free. The site takes no money from lenders, insurers, advisors, recruiters or employers, and has no affiliate or referral deals, no sponsored content and no advertising.

The data is published under CC BY 4.0, so a program or society can reuse it with attribution. See the open data page for the citation form.

What legal or financial conclusion is made? None.

The tools report what a document or a rule says, quote the source, and suggest questions for an attorney. They do not say whether a clause is enforceable, which plan to choose, or what anyone should sign.

The boundary is enforced mechanically: tests/boundary.test.ts forbids advice phrases in the decision libraries, and src/lib/advice-language.ts sets the wording rules for results that sit near the line. Nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice.

    Attorney review

Attorney review: pending. The legal-review scope memo and worksheet are in docs/legal-review/.

    The one-page brief

A PDF that answers the same three questions, with the dataset and licence line, the maintenance cadence and the attorney-review status — ready to forward to a compliance reviewer.
