    Check a wRVU productivity statement

Open your productivity report as a CSV, enter the compensation terms from your contract, and see what those terms would pay for each period beside what the report says was paid. The file is read in this browser tab and is never uploaded.

ExperimentalA test version: it reads common report layouts, and the arithmetic covers only the terms entered below.

    1. The report

Export the report as CSV from the spreadsheet or portal. Rows copied from a spreadsheet (tab-separated) work too.

    Download the sample

    3. Contract terms

Example values; replace them with your contract's terms.

    Tiers (optional)

wRVUs above each annual level pay that tier's rate instead. Leave a tier blank if the contract has one rate.

Open or paste a report, or load the sample, to see the comparison.

Questions for the employer or compensation committee

    • Which year's Medicare Physician Fee Schedule are the wRVU values on this statement taken from, and does the contract fix that year or follow each new schedule?
    • How are split or shared visits with nurse practitioners or physician assistants credited, and to whom do those wRVUs go?
    • How is the threshold prorated for approved leave such as PTO, CME, parental or medical leave? What time off does to a wRVU threshold
    • Is each period reconciled on its own, or year to date, with earlier advances or shortfalls carried forward?
    • For lines with a CPT code and no wRVU credit, which rule set the credit to zero (for example, a global surgical period)?

Each period is computed on its own: the annual threshold and tier levels are divided by 12, 4 or 1, and wRVUs above each level are paid at its rate. Paid amounts are the sum of the paid column within the period. Rows labeled as totals are not counted. A difference means the report differs from the terms entered, not that either is wrong: the employer may apply rules not entered here, such as year-to-date reconciliation, quality withholds, leave adjustments or a different fee-schedule year. This is arithmetic on the numbers entered, not legal or financial advice.
